All of VS TANKERS VLCCs are designed to maximize energy efficiency, with Plumb Bow Eco Hull forms and having advanced Low Friction Self-lubricating, linear self-polishing hydrolysable based antifouling, in combination with installed Derated Main engines, which all contribute to much lower emissions from the vessel’s operations. All our VLCCs are also built to meet and exceed the Phase 1 requirements of the EEDI.

Additionally, as part of its energy-efficient strategy, all our VLCCs are equipped with Streamlined Twisted Eco Rudders fitted with bulbs and fins, large diameter Skewed fully coated propellers with energy-saving ducts, which all greatly enhance energy efficiency and reduce vibration & noise. The latest Rudder design and Propeller ducts alone have all increased the VLCCs propulsion efficiency by 3-6 %.

The latest versions of electronically controlled fuel efficient Ultra long stroke 2-Stroke main engines fitted on all VS TANKERS VLCCs comply with Tier III regulations. all VS TANKERS VLCCs are equipped with both SCR / EGR Technology.

Moreover, all VS TANKERS VLCCs are “future proof” in that they are all designed to be retrofitted for alternative fuel usages such as methanol, LPG, Ethane, or LNG in the future, to further reduce GHG emissions.

VS TANKERS has proudly built up an international blue chip customer base consisting of some of the largest and most well-known global oil major charterers and oil traders (including state-owned and publicly listed companies).
